What this covers

Soglio is a tool for touring, analyzing, and deciding on real estate. You walk a property with the app recording; Soglio turns that recording into a written brief. This policy explains what we collect to do that, who else processes it, how long we keep it, and how to get it back or delete it.

It covers the Soglio iOS app, the website at soglio.app, and the backend that serves both. If you are reading a brief someone shared with you, see "Shared briefs" below — you do not need an account, and we do not create one for you.

What we collect

Your account

Your email address, used to sign you in with a magic link, and an optional display name. Agents can add their own brand details for white-labeled briefs.

What you record on a tour

The video of the walkthrough, the audio of your narration, and any photos you take. This is the raw material for the brief.

What we derive from it

A transcript of your narration, the observations extracted from what you said and what the camera saw, and the finished brief and score.

Property location

The address of each property and its coordinates. If you allow location access, your device's location is used to bias address autocomplete so the right property comes up first.

Purchases

Which tour bundles you have bought and how many tour credits you have. Payment is handled entirely by Apple — we never see your card or payment details.

How you use the app

Product analytics (screens opened, actions taken) and crash reports, so we can find what is broken. Both are tied to your account so we can tell one person's problem from a widespread one.

Recording other people

A property tour usually has other people in it — a listing agent, a seller, whoever else is in the house. Before recording starts, the app asks you to confirm that everyone present has been told Soglio will record audio and video, and that you have the consent the law requires. We store the time of that confirmation. Confirming in the app does not by itself obtain anyone else's consent.

Recording laws vary by state and by circumstance. Some require every person in a private conversation to consent before audio recording begins. Do not start or continue recording unless everyone whose consent is required has agreed. If someone objects, or a new person joins, pause and get their agreement before continuing.

One thing people miss: this applies to conversations you are not part of. Leaving the app recording while others talk among themselves is exactly the situation these laws were written for.

How we use it

To produce your briefs and run the product: transcribe your narration, analyze the video, generate and score the brief, let you compare properties, and share or export the result.

To keep the service working and honest: diagnose failures, understand which features get used, and improve the quality of the analysis.

We do not sell your data. We do not share it with advertisers or data brokers. We do not use it for advertising, and we do not track you across other companies' apps or websites.

Who else processes it

Running the product means handing pieces of your data to service providers. Each one gets only what it needs to do its job, and we require them by contract to protect it and process it only on our instructions, except where the law says otherwise.

Supabase

Database, authentication, and file storage — where your account, tours, and recordings live.

OpenAI

Transcribes your tour narration (Whisper). Audio only.

Anthropic

Analyzes the video and transcript and writes the brief (Claude).

LiveKit

Carries the live video stream when someone follows a tour in progress.

Mapbox

Renders the map. Mapbox's own telemetry collection is turned off in our app.

PostHog

Product analytics — which screens and features get used.

Sentry

Crash and error reports.

Resend

Sends the emails we send you, such as sign-in links.

Apple

Processes in-app purchases. We receive a confirmation that a purchase happened, not your payment details.

How long we keep it

Tour videos: 30 days

The source video is deleted 30 days after the tour. The brief, transcript, observations, and photos it produced are kept — the brief is the thing you came for, and it does not need the video to stay readable.

Deleted tours: 7 days

Deleting a tour puts it in a recoverable state for 7 days, then it is permanently removed along with its files.

Share links: 90 days

A link you share expires 90 days after you create it. You can revoke it sooner at any time.

Everything else

Account details, briefs, transcripts, observations, photos, purchase records, and linked analytics are kept while your account is open. Correction pairs, backups, and records we are required to keep are covered below.

Improving the analysis

When you correct something Soglio got wrong — fixing an observation, rewriting part of a brief — we keep that correction paired with what the AI originally produced, and use it to make the analysis better. This is the part of the product that improves with use.

Correction pairs are stored separately from your tours. We remove the account link and the street address and reduce the location to a coarse region, but the remaining text may still be personal data, so we treat it that way. They are kept after you delete the tour they came from.

You can turn this off in Settings, and you can turn it off at any time — we stop keeping new pairs immediately. When you delete your account, your correction pairs are deleted with it.

Your data, your call

Export your data

Download the tours, briefs, transcripts, observations, and photos still in your account, from inside the app, at any time, without asking us. Anything already deleted under the schedule above is not included.

Delete your account

Profile → ⋯ → Delete account. This deletes your account, your tours, your recorded files, and your correction pairs from our active systems, and it cannot be undone. Encrypted backups and security logs age out on their normal cycle, and we keep the limited records the law requires us to keep.

Delete one tour

Delete any individual tour or property from the app.

Ask us anything else

Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights — to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to, or receive a copy of your data. Email us. We will verify the request and respond as the law requires, and tell you plainly if an exception applies.

If someone recorded you

If you appear or speak in a Soglio recording but do not have an account, email privacy@soglio.app with enough detail to identify the tour — the property, roughly when, and who was recording. We will review access and deletion requests as the law requires.

The person doing the recording is responsible for telling everyone present and getting the consent the law requires.

Legal requests and business changes

We may disclose data when reasonably necessary to comply with the law or valid legal process, to protect someone's safety or the service itself, to investigate fraud or abuse, or to complete a financing, merger, acquisition, bankruptcy, or sale. If the product changes hands, whoever takes it over may use the data only as described here unless we tell you otherwise.

Shared briefs

When someone shares a brief with you by link, you can read it without an account. We do not create one for you, and we do not use the link to build a profile of you. The link expires, and the person who shared it can revoke it at any time.

If you are the one sharing: anyone holding an active link can read the brief. Do not share a link containing something you are not free to disclose.

Security

Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Tour recordings held on your phone before upload are protected by the device's own file encryption. Access to your tours is limited to you, the people you share with, the service providers that process them for us, and authorized Soglio personnel who need access for support, security, or operations — enforced by database rules, not only by application code.

No system is perfect. If you find a security problem, please report it privately at the address below rather than disclosing it publicly, and we will investigate and address it.

Children

Soglio is a professional tool and is not directed at children. We do not allow children under 13 to create accounts, and we do not knowingly collect personal data submitted directly by them. Separately: do not record a minor without permission from their parent or guardian where the law requires it. If you believe a child has given us data directly, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes

If we change this policy in a way that materially affects what we collect or how we use it, we will update the date at the top and tell you in the app before the change takes effect.
