The short version

Soglio records property tours and turns them into written briefs. Two things carry real weight in this agreement, so they are first rather than buried: you are responsible for having permission to record the people on your tour, and a Soglio brief is not an inspection. Everything below expands on those.

Who can use it

You must be at least 18 and able to enter a binding agreement. If you are using Soglio for a business — a brokerage, an investment firm — you are agreeing on its behalf and confirming you can do that.

Recording: your responsibility

This is the most important section in this agreement. Soglio records audio and video, and property tours involve other people.

You must have the right to be there and to record

You are responsible for having permission to enter the property and to record inside it. Some brokerages, MLS rules, and showing agreements restrict recording regardless of what the law allows — those bind you too.

You represent that you obtained consent

Each time you start a capture, you confirm in the app that you told everyone present that audio and video would be recorded, and that you obtained any consent the law requires. You are making that representation to us, and we rely on it.

Consent laws vary and some are strict

A number of states require every person in a private conversation to consent before audio recording begins. This can include conversations you are not part of — leaving the app recording while other people talk among themselves is exactly the situation those laws address.

Stop when asked

Do not begin or continue recording if anyone objects, or if a new person joins before being informed. Pause, tell them, and get their agreement before continuing.

Do not record certain things

No recording in bathrooms, changing areas, or anywhere people reasonably expect privacy. Do not deliberately record documents, passwords, alarm codes, financial records, or security systems. Do not record a minor where permission from a parent or guardian is required and you do not have it.

Soglio is not for covert recording

The product is built to be obvious — it shows a recording indicator throughout. Do not use it to record people who have not been told.

If you get this wrong

If a claim is brought against Soglio because you recorded someone without the permission you told us you had, or otherwise broke the rules in the section above, you agree to defend and indemnify us — meaning you cover the resulting claims, damages, and reasonable legal costs. This is the practical consequence of the representation you make each time you record.

This does not apply to a claim caused by our own wrongdoing rather than yours.

What the analysis is, and is not

Soglio produces an AI-generated brief from what you said and what the camera saw. It is a decision aid, not a professional opinion.

Not an inspection or an appraisal

A brief is not a home inspection, appraisal, survey, engineering assessment, environmental report, title opinion, legal advice, or financial advice. It does not replace any of them.

It can be wrong

AI analysis makes mistakes. It can miss a defect that was in front of the camera, misjudge severity, or describe something inaccurately. Scores are relative judgments, not measurements.

Verify before you act

Do not buy, sell, invest, or waive an inspection based on a Soglio brief. Confirm anything that matters with a qualified professional.

Estimates are estimates

Repair-cost ranges, required-rent figures, and similar numbers are rough guidance derived from the property's stated facts. They are not quotes or valuations.

Your content

Your recordings, photos, notes, and briefs are yours. You give us permission to store, process, transcribe, analyze, and display them for the purpose of running Soglio for you — including sending them to the AI providers named in the Privacy Policy. That permission exists so the product can function; it does not let us use your tours for anything else.

Corrections you make to the AI's output are handled separately, and you can turn that off in Settings. The Privacy Policy explains it.

Sharing

You can share a brief by link, and anyone holding an active link can read it. You are responsible for who you send it to and for anything in a brief you are not free to disclose. Links expire, and you can revoke one at any time.

Purchases

Tour bundles are consumable in-app purchases sold through Apple. Credits are applied to your account when the purchase is verified and are consumed as you capture tours. They do not expire.

Refunds are handled by Apple under their policies, not by us — we cannot issue them directly. Credits have no cash value and cannot be transferred or redeemed for money.

Things you agree not to do

Do not use Soglio to break the law, to record people who have not consented, to upload content you have no right to, to harass anyone, to resell the service, or to attack, probe, or reverse-engineer the system. We can suspend or terminate an account for any of these.

Ending it

You can stop using Soglio and delete your account at any time from inside the app. We can suspend or end an account that breaks this agreement, or discontinue the service — if we shut down, we will give you reasonable notice and a chance to export your data.

No warranty, and limits on liability

Soglio is provided as-is. We do not promise it will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that the analysis will be accurate or complete.

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, and our total liability is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Some places do not allow these limits, in which case they apply as far as they legally can.

Nothing here limits liability for our own fraud or anything else that cannot legally be limited.

Governing law

This agreement is governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Disputes go to the state or federal courts located in Florida, and both of us agree to that venue.

Changes

If we change these terms in a way that materially affects your rights, we will update the date above and tell you in the app before the change takes effect. Continuing to use Soglio after that means you accept the new terms.
